Kanha has two main tourism gates:
• Khatia

The best gate depends on your accommodation and safari bookings. We always recommend staying close to the gate from which your safari begins. We shall be assisting you with all the bookings airport to airport.
When is the best time to visit Kanha?+
Every season has its own charm.
October to February
Cool weather, misty mornings, beautiful landscapes and outstanding birdlife. Winter offers great chances of seeing tigers in action.
March to June
Warmer temperatures with excellent opportunities to see tigers and other wildlife around water sources.
July to September
The park remains closed during the monsoon. This is when the forest regenerates and prepares for another safari season.

Winter mornings: 5°C to 12°C
Winter afternoons: 22°C to 28°C
Summer: 30°C to 42°C
Winter mornings can be surprisingly cold, especially during open jeep safaris, so warm clothing is essential.
How many nights do you recommend?+
For first-time visitors, we recommend at least 2 nights with 4 safaris.
If you're a wildlife enthusiast or photographer, 3 nights or more allows enough time to explore different zones and experience the forest at a relaxed pace.
How many safaris should we book?+
Our recommendation is:
• Minimum: 4 safaris
• Ideal: 5 to 6 safaris

Are tiger sightings guaranteed?+
No.
Tigers are wild animals, and no one can guarantee a sighting.
Every safari is unique, and often the most memorable moments involve much more than just tigers.
What are the chances of seeing a tiger?+
Kanha has a healthy tiger population and offers excellent opportunities for sightings.
That said, the true beauty of Kanha lies in the complete wilderness experience, not just a single animal.
Which safari zone is the best?+
Kanha is divided into several tourism zones including Kanha, Kisli, Mukki and Sarhi.
Each zone has its own character, landscapes and resident wildlife.
Rather than focusing on finding the "best" zone, we recommend experiencing different parts of the park whenever possible.
How early should we book?+
Safari permits are limited and in high demand.
For weekends, holidays and the winter season, we recommend booking 4 months in advance.
What documents do we need?+
Please carry the original government-issued photo ID used while booking your safari.
International guests must carry their passport.
What should we wear?+
Neutral colours work best.
We recommend olive, brown, khaki, beige or grey.

Can we bring our cameras?+
Absolutely.
Kanha is one of India's most photogenic national parks, with beautiful forests, expansive meadows and excellent wildlife photography opportunities.

Is Kanha suitable for children and senior citizens?+
Yes.
Kanha is an excellent destination for families as well as senior travellers.
Guests should be comfortable sitting in an open safari vehicle for approximately four hours.
Is there mobile network inside the park?+
Mobile coverage is limited inside the reserve.
Most lodges have reasonable connectivity, but once you're inside the forest, the focus naturally shifts to the sights and sounds around you.
Can we get out of the safari vehicle?+
No.
Guests must remain inside the safari vehicle throughout the drive unless instructed otherwise by Forest Department officials.
What if we don't see a tiger?+
You'll still have experienced one of India's greatest forests.
Some of our most memorable mornings have been spent watching a herd of Barasingha emerge from the mist, listening to alarm calls echo through the sal forest, or simply enjoying the golden light across Kanha's famous meadows.
Every safari tells a different story.
Are mobile phones allowed on safari?+
No. You can either keep them at the resort or else in a locker which the department provides. The locker stays with you in the safari gypsy.

Come with curiosity rather than expectations.
Watch the meadows come alive at sunrise, listen for the alarm calls, enjoy the incredible birdlife and trust your naturalist.
Kanha has a way of revealing itself slowly, and that is exactly what makes it so unforgettable.
