Kanha & Tadoba

Arrive at Raipur Airport where our representative will welcome you before your drive to Kanha Tiger Reserve. The route gradually leaves the bustle of the city behind, passing through rural villages and patches of forest before entering one of India’s most celebrated wildlife landscapes.
After checking into your jungle lodge and enjoying lunch (subject to arrival time), prepare for your first safari. Every first drive is filled with anticipation. Fresh tracks cross the dusty roads, birds call from the canopy and every bend hints at the possibility of an unforgettable encounter.
Return to the lodge after sunset for dinner and overnight stay.

The day begins well before sunrise as you enter the reserve during its most magical hours. Cool morning air, soft golden light and the awakening sounds of the forest create an atmosphere unlike any other.
Watch as Barasingha graze across dew-covered meadows, Gaur emerge from the shadows of towering Sal trees and countless bird species begin their morning chorus. Throughout the drive, your naturalist will interpret the signs of the jungle, explaining how fresh pugmarks, alarm calls and animal behaviour often reveal far more than meets the eye.
After breakfast and some leisure time at the lodge, venture out again during the afternoon to explore another safari zone. As the light changes, so too does the forest, offering a completely different perspective of Kanha.

Enjoy one final morning exploring Kanha before returning to the lodge for breakfast.
Later, begin your journey towards Tadoba Tiger Reserve. As the hours pass, the scenery slowly transforms. The towering Sal forests gradually disappear, replaced by teak woodland, bamboo thickets and the warmer, drier landscapes that define eastern Maharashtra.
Arrive at your jungle resort by evening and spend the remainder of the day relaxing before the next phase of your adventure.

Your introduction to Tadoba begins before dawn.
Unlike Kanha, Tadoba often feels wonderfully open, allowing long views across forest roads and water bodies where wildlife frequently gathers. Every safari explores a different part of the reserve, increasing opportunities to experience the remarkable diversity of habitats that support its famous predators.
Spend the afternoon discovering another safari zone where bamboo forests, lakes and rocky clearings create entirely different photographic opportunities.

With several safaris now behind you, the forest begins revealing its finer details.
Perhaps it is a Sloth Bear patiently turning over fallen logs, a family of Wild Dogs trotting purposefully along a dusty track or a Changeable Hawk-Eagle waiting motionless above a woodland clearing. Tadoba rewards those who remain curious, reminding us that every species contributes to the story of the jungle.
As the final evening safari comes to a close, pause for a moment simply to absorb the sounds, colours and atmosphere of one of India’s most exciting wildlife reserves.

Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out and driving to Nagpur Airport, concluding a memorable journey through two of Central India’s most remarkable tiger landscapes.
