As the landscape gradually transforms into towering Sal forests and sweeping grasslands, you’ll immediately sense the difference between these two iconic reserves. Arrive by evening and settle into your jungle lodge.
Today’s two safaris introduce you to the remarkable beauty of Kanha. Explore different parts of the reserve while searching for Tigers, Barasingha, Gaur and the many smaller species that contribute to the richness of this extraordinary ecosystem.
Between drives, enjoy the peaceful surroundings of your lodge and reflect on the contrasting personalities of the forests you’ve experienced so far.
Another full day in Kanha provides time to slow down and appreciate the finer details of the jungle. Every safari reveals something different, whether it is a predator moving silently through the bamboo or a herd of Barasingha grazing across the reserve’s famous meadows.
Enjoy one final sunrise in Kanha before returning to the lodge for breakfast.
Later, travel south towards Pench Tiger Reserve, where open teak forests and gently rolling hills create an entirely new wildlife landscape. Check into your lodge and spend the evening at leisure.
Begin exploring Pench with two game drives across different sectors of the reserve. The open nature of the forest provides wonderful opportunities to observe animal behaviour, while your naturalist helps interpret the many signs that reveal life within the jungle.
