Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Chandigarh as you drive into the lower Himalayas. Passing through Shimla and beautiful cedar forests, continue towards the charming hill station of Narkanda, known for its apple orchards and panoramic mountain views.
Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the exciting journey ahead.

Approx. Drive: 165 km | 6–7 Hours
After breakfast, continue through the picturesque Kinnaur Valley following the mighty Sutlej River. The drive offers spectacular views of deep gorges, traditional Himalayan villages and dramatic mountain scenery.
Arrive in Kalpa, one of Himachal Pradesh's most beautiful villages, famous for its breathtaking views of the snow-clad Kinner Kailash range.
Enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by the majestic Himalayas.

Approx. Drive: 200 km | 7–8 Hours
Today's drive is one of the most scenic sections of the journey. Travel through Nako, cross high mountain passes and visit the ancient Tabo Monastery, often referred to as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas."
Continue into the spectacular Spiti Valley before arriving in Kaza, the administrative headquarters of the region.
Take the evening to acclimatize to the high altitude.

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Key Monastery, the largest and most important Buddhist monastery in Spiti. Perched dramatically on a hilltop, it offers stunning views across the valley.
Continue to Kibber Village, situated at over 4,200 metres above sea level and one of the world's highest permanently inhabited villages. Meet your expert naturalists and local trackers who will brief you about Snow Leopard behaviour, tracking techniques and recent wildlife movements.
Depending on time, enjoy a short evening walk around the village in search of Himalayan wildlife.

Begin before sunrise as your tracking team heads into the surrounding valleys. Using spotting scopes and the expertise of local trackers, spend the day scanning rocky cliffs and mountain slopes for the elusive Snow Leopard.
Along the way, keep an eye out for Himalayan Ibex, Blue Sheep (Bharal), Red Fox, Golden Eagles, Lammergeiers and Himalayan Griffons.

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Spiti Valley as you retrace your journey through the spectacular Himalayan landscapes towards Kalpa.
The drive once again offers breathtaking mountain scenery and numerous opportunities to stop for photographs along the way.
Spend your final evening in the peaceful surroundings of Kinnaur.

After an early breakfast, begin the drive back to Chandigarh, bringing your incredible Himalayan wildlife expedition to a close.
