The Ken River winds gracefully through the reserve, supporting Marsh Crocodiles, Gharials and an astonishing diversity of birdlife. After checking into your jungle lodge and enjoying lunch, head out for your first evening safari. As the afternoon light softens across the sandstone landscape, begin exploring a reserve whose remarkable recovery has inspired conservationists across the country.
Return after sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
Enter the reserve before sunrise when the forest is at its most peaceful. Fresh pugmarks pressed into sandy tracks often tell the story of the previous night’s movements, while birdlife gradually fills the woodland with sound.
