What to expect?

The early morning's fog slowly lifts itself as the first rays of the winter sun make their way toward the ancient Sal jungle. The woods are alive with the sounds of a hundred different birds, flycatchers and minivets, bulbuls and prinias, bee-eaters and orioles. Their melodies echo through the forest as you make your way through this one-of-its-kind experience. The aroma of the slightly moist jungle elevates your senses to an altogether different high, for the smell of the forest has inspired a countless many romantics and poets. Kanha has you in its spell, the addiction has set in. 

Our expert team of naturalists, drivers and forest guides would constantly search for tell-tale signs of the tiger's whereabouts, and our knowledge of the jungle byways, individual tigers' habits and habitats, movements during the last safari would greatly increase your chances of seeing a tiger. While we keep all our six senses open to detect the tiger, we waste no time in educating you with all that we know of this fabled landscape. We shall try our luck with the sloth bears who feed on termites, the leopards who have mastered stealth and secrecy like no other Big Cat, the glorious Barasingha wandering the iconic meadows with joy and the myriad of other birds and mammals which inhabit this ultimate land of the wild. The 4 day experience would open your eyes to something new, something grand, something eternal.

Day 1
Drive Nagpur to Kanha-Jungle Safari - Overnight at Kanha.

(You are requested to reach Nagpur anytime till 9 am).

On our arrival in Nagpur, our experts would help group all the campers for breakfast following which we drive to Kanha. The four hours' journey takes us through the beautiful Pench forest before we enter the Kanha landscape. After a hot lunch, we go on our first safari drive in this beautiful forest. The entry into the reserve, the merry herds of spotted deer and the startled sambhar and the aroma of the mighty Sal woods would leave you enchanted. We come back to the resort for chai - coffee following which we have ice-breakers and introduction. An early dinner would send you into your warm beds.

Days 2 & 3
Morning and evening jungle safaris - Overnight in Kanha.

We spend two more days in the jungle and in process undertake four jungle drives. We shall explore all the famed tiger areas such as the Kanha meadows, the Sonph maidans, the hills of Digdola and Salghat, the ponds near Kisli and the iconic region east of Kisli, the happening Mukki zone with Chota Munna, Dhawajhandi and many other legendary tigers. Our drives and guides would give their very best to give you the experience you came to this legendary jungle for. After a hard days' of safaring through those bumpy jungle paths, we come back to the resort for a steaming hot cuppa, some games, some sessions and a lot of fun!

Day 4
Morning safari - Drive back to Nagpur - Tour ends.

(You are requested to board any flight/train after 7 pm.)

After one last safari in this fabled jungle, we come back for farewell lunch before heading toward Nagpur. Long handshakes and warm hugs later, we part ways for the time-being, but the many pictures and memories would keep us together for a long time.

Balance can be paid up to a month before departure.

Cost per person for a non-Indian national is 6000/- INR extra than the cost for Indian nationals.

Inclusions

  1. Accommodation at the chosen wildlife resort for 3 nights in comfortable Air-conditioned rooms/tents.
  2. All meals ex-Nagpur (daily bed tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner) starting breakfast on day 1 and concluding with lunch on day 4.
  3. 6 jungle safaris in Kanha National Park (only core zones of Kisli, Kanha, Mukki or Sarhi) with all fees, permits, taxes, guide and gypsy charges.
  4. Safaris in the best possible premium zones selected as per our past experience and current sighting trends.
  5. Services of a ‘Beyond Wild’ wildlife expert ex Nagpur.
  6. Return Nagpur-Kanha-Nagpur transfers by an AC SUV-vehicle (Toyota Innova/similar).
  7. Lots of sessions and group discussions as part of our interactions on wildlife and day's sightings.
  8. A professional forest driver and forest guide for all safaris.

Exclusions

  1. Any air fare or rail fare.
  2. All Govt. Taxes as applicable.
  3. Personal expenses like laundry, soft drinks, hard drinks, mineral water, internet and telephone charges, etc.
  4. Camera fees (200/- per camera with lens of 250 mm or above per safari).
  5. Anything not mentioned in the list of inclusions.

Travel to and fro Nagpur:

Booking Procedure

A 50% advance amount and a recognized Government Identity card (Aadhar, Pancard, Driver's License, OCI, Passport, Voter's ID, Government Employee's ID, school/College ID) would all do for Indian nationals.

For non Indian nationals, only Passport is allowed. IDs should be scanned and mailed at info@beyondwild.in or alternatively WhatsApp at 09372253468.

Cancellation - Refund (On Tour Cost)

  • If cancellation is communicated 10 days (or less) before departure OR No Show - No Refund.
  • If cancellation is communicated 20 to 11 days before departure - 20% of tour cost refunded.
  • If cancellation is communicated 30 to 21 days before departure - 40% of tour cost refunded.
  • If cancellation is communicated 30 to 59 days before departure - 60% of tour cost refunded.
  • If cancellation is communicated 60 days (or more) before departure - 80% of tour cost refunded.
  • If cancellation is communicated 120 days (or more) before departure - Full Refund.
