In a place so awe inspiring, where the big blue skies meet the breathtaking savannas, the central plains, with scattered bushes and boulders on rolling grasslands, favoured by the plain game, the Masai Mara is exceptionally known for its Great Migration.
Yes, the annual wildebeest migration. Every year, during these months, the Savanna is dotted black with over 1.5 million wildebeest, along with zebra and gazelle stragglers that charge towards better grazing lands, and witnessing this exceptional phenomenon, is sure to leave you spellbound. Arguably one of the greatest shows on earth, the Great Migration is an overwhelming and quite simply, the best African Wildlife Safari experience you can have. Precisely why it is called the eighth wonder of the world! The vast plains truly come alive from July through to October when people from around the world visit this bewitching land of the 'Big Five' to witness the exceptional Migration. But what's more interesting to watch is the river crossing when these herds, having eaten their way through the Serengeti, now begin their journey of crossing the dangerous river for better grazing lands in the Mara. With the first few herds arriving at the banks and many more piling up behind them, the pressure eventually grows and the wildebeest begin to cross the river in panicky groups, almost immediately triggering the attention of the most feared predators, the crocodiles. This is nature. This is the wild!
The phenomenal story of the migration repeats itself every year.
Wouldn’t this be absolutely jaw dropping to witness? With a carefully planned, well-curated tour, our legendary service and the warmest hospitality, you get to witness the migration at its best.
Today we arrive in Nairobi. With the excitement of the next few days of absolute thrill in the plains of Kenya, we stay overnight in Nairobi at the Sheraton Nairobi Airport.
In the morning post breakfast, we proceed towards Nakuru. We then have lunch and go for an evening game drive. This would be your introduction to the fabled Nakuru landscape and the sheer number of animals and birds would leave you mesmerized! The main attraction of the Park is the large scenic lake, supporting a variety of birdlife including big flocks of pelicans and variable flocks of flamingos along with several others beautiful birds. But, Lake Nakuru also provides ample opportunity to view most big safari animals with the exception of elephants.
We spend overnight at Sarova Lionhill.
Post breakfast, shall waste no minute of pristine daylight and ensure we spend as much time as possible in the beautiful land of the Big Five! The myriad of animals, hunt sequences, big cats, massive herds of wildebeest, giraffes against the African sky would all be memories for a lifetime! Our expert drivers and the camp mentors will ensure that you are at the right place at the right time! Their experience and knowledge of animal behaviour shall prove to be very useful in making your experience the very best one! We then drive to Maasai Mara for the afternoon gamedrive.
We spend the night at Matira today.

We stay at the legendary Keekorok Lodge overnight, not the most luxurious but very comfortable with probably the best location in the reserve, from where the famed Sarova, Sopa, Talek, Mara river and Sand river areas can be easily accessed (usually not more than 45 minutes of driving)!
