    Bhigwan overnight

    Bhigwan overnight

Bhigwan is a haven for the flaming birds of beauty, our pretty guests from up north. Bhigwan is an astounding place to not only see the flamingos, but also to photograph them. We go in search of them in the golden light of sunset as well as sunrise, in boats rowed by master boatmen, people who know the lake like the back of their hands! And then, there are a host of other avian beauties who inhabit the placid waters of the Bhigwan lake. Herons, gulls, egrets, terns and a number of waders call Bhigwan their home. And if youre lucky, you can even catch a glimpse of a few raptors - osprey, marsh harrier, spotted eagles to name some!

We pitch our tents by the lakeside, with the starlit sky and a campfire keeping us company. Out by the water, discussions and stories will continue late into the night, till the fire dies out...
