    Aberdare National Park

An enchanting smorgasbord of moorlands, bamboo forests and dense rainforests all combined into 766 sq. kms of pristine wilderness, Aberdare is a must visit on a Kenyan safari. Animals easily observed include the lion, leopard, elephant, African hunting dog, bushbuck, eland, waterbuck, colobus monkey and many other African species. Abedare also contains a huge population of the endangered black rhino. Bird enthusiasts are in for a treat as over 250 of Africa’s most colourful species are recorded here! You would never want to leave this enchanting jungle, where Princess Elizabeth turned Queen Elizabeth way back in the glorious old days of 1952!
